Do Slimming Body Wraps Really Work ?

9 October 2009 133 views 2 Comments

If you have read all of the differing viewpoints on Slimming Body Wraps and are confused, this article will definitely help to clear up the confusion.

The primary views given on Body Wraps are A. Body Wraps are terrible and do nothing beneficial for anyone, especially in the weight loss arena. B. Body Wraps are wonderful and will help you shed up to 30 pounds without any change in your diet or exercise patterns. And finally C. Body Wraps are wonderful and are useful in many ways but weight loss is not their biggest strength.

In the diet and weight loss world it is often difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff. Many claims are made for a variety of different formulations which I believe would be very hard to substantiate. It is no different when the discussion turns to Body Wraps. One can see claims of as much as 30 pounds lost with Body Wraps. Perhaps some of the statements would be a bit more believable if the person making them weren’t also selling the “magic” formula.

Please don’t misunderstand me. I truly love Body Wraps and use them often. They are a wonderful way to relax, rejuvenate and pamper yourself.

In my opinion and personal experience Body Wraps are great for slimming down somewhat prior to an event such as a wedding, party or reunion. Somehow, clothes always seem to fit a little looser after a Slimming Body Wrap. I must say, however, that any weight loss I have experienced does not seem to get rid of fat forever. How I wish it would! Of course, I can only speak from my own personal experience.

The right body wrap, formulated for me, will tend to tighten and “tone” my skin, making it feel absolutely wonderful. These formulations are perfect to use while dieting to pamper yourself and also to tighten up that loose skin. The natural ingredients in Body Wraps draw out toxins while adding needed oils, minerals and nutrients.

So, while I use Body Wraps for slimming, I cannot claim that they are a way to lose weight and shed fat. I am just like you, I sometimes need to shed a few pounds and I want it NOW! Also like most of you I procrastinate in beginning a weight loss program.

According to the FDA, there is no evidence that fat is lost throught the use of Body Wraps. Some will claim that water loss and then gaining the water back uses calories which burn fat. Maybe that is true, but think about it. Does that sound like a lot of energy your body is using to burn calories and fat?

If you need to lose weight, the basic strategy is still the same: Cut down on food intake and increase activity. Sad, but true.

If you really wish to pamper yourself, try a body wrap!
